Oasis For Girls at SomaFEST TOMORROW

Come see Oasis For Girls activity table at the 9th annual SoMaFEST 2008 in the heart of the South of Market neighborhood! Other groups include Somcan, United Playaz, the Family Resource Center and many, many more. Come join us for this fun, family oriented festival!

SoMaFEST is an uplifting celebration of the youth, children, seniors, and families. This year's theme is "Healthy 'Hood, Strong Generations" which represents our neighborhood goal of always being unified, growing strong together and not only fighting for our rights, but ensuring the children and youth are part of decision making on how they want to see their neighborhood grow.

UPDATE ON FALL PROGRAMS

Congratulations to the young women who have been accepted to the Fall 2008 RISE Life Skills Education Program. This session girls will engage in theme based workshops from self, to self-determination, to identifying struggles and creating pathways to success.

Girl 2 Girl will be gearing up in the next few weeks at Francisco Middle School. If you haven't done so already, sign up for the program. You can learn more through Claudia, our contact at Francisco Connect, or call Julia at 415-701-7991.

Membership...Calling all alumni! It's your time to come back and get involved! Youth Staff--Jah' Torri and Maddy--have a great fall planned. Thanks to those of you who came to the focus group to help create plan!
